Drive Toward a Cure
We will start with a meet and greet at 8am on Saturday, October 9th just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, near Cavallo Point with where cars will also be photographed.
Starting at 9am we'll be proceeding up the Sonoma Coast on some of the best driving roads in the country. We'll have a couple of optional scenic stopping points along the route, selected with the help of professional race car driver, Robert Orcutt, on our way to lunch at Kevin Buckler's "The Racer's Group" Race Shop in Petaluma.
Kevin will have his '73 Porsche 911 RS and the Le Mans-winning 911 GT3 there along with several other race cars. He will give a tour through the race shop and talk about some of his favorite memories competing and winning in races like Le Mans and Daytona with his automotive partners, Porsche and Aston Martin. His winery, Adobe Road Wines, will be pouring at the shop with his winemaker Garrett Martin leading a tasting tour through their portfolio. Exclusive event specials will be offered to the guests who wish to take some wine home with them. We will also have a gourmet food truck serving a complementary lunch at the shop courtesy of Bring a Trailer.
There will be swag bags for the participants with gifts from our event sponsors. A safe, fun drive followed by a relaxed afternoon is planned for up to 50 collectors, benefiting the UCSF Parkinson's Disease Clinic and Research Center!
All proceeds will stay local benefitting the University of California San Francisco Parkinson's Disease Clinic and Research Center, a Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence.
Thank you to these sponsors:
