Drive Toward a Cure
When custom Hot Rod builder Shawn Killion contacted Drive Toward a Cure to merge their version of Cars and Camaraderie® with his support for Parkinson’s, his latest ‘build’ of a 1932 Ford Roadster ‘Speedway Special’ was key to both entities bringing awareness to Young-Onset Parkinson’s Disease.
Shawn’s 31-year-old son Kieran had been diagnosed with Young-Onset Parkinson’s at the young age of 29 and it was a goal for Shawn to support the needs of younger individuals that are challenged by the chronic disease.
His 1932 “Speedway Special” is the conduit toward raising funds, and you can see this special hot rod in person at three significant events before it gets auctioned later this year:
- Grand National Roadster Show (Feb 2-4)
- “An Evening of Music & Motion” (April 18)
- Sacramento Autorama (May 3-5)
All dollars raised will fund the Drive Toward a Cure new initiative for Young-Onset Parkinson’s (YOPD) honoring Kieran Killion.
Donations made through to the close of the 2024 Sacramento Autorama will gain entries into a random draw for a Griot’s Garage Concours Lawn Kit! One entry for every $5 -- donate $100 for 20 entries... there's no limit!
Drive Toward a Cure raises money for Parkinson's Disease research and patient care.
