Drive Toward a Cure
What an exciting second year we have planned!
This time we are heading to the famous backroads and coast of the Peninsula and South Bay. Oh boy, do we have some treats for you.
We will meet at 8am at scenic Thomas Fogarty Winery on Skyline Drive in Woodside (just down the road from Alice's Restaurant!). Leaving around 9am we are planning on a great 3 hour drive with time for a break in the middle. Race car driver and instructor Robert Orcutt will again be leading our route over the familiar roads he knows so well!
We'll wind up at ... CANEPA! Nestled into the trees amidst Highway 17 in Scotts Valley, Bruce Canepa has built a shop like no other. If you haven't been there, you are in for a treat. From the museum to the amazing workshop the place is a feast for all car afficionados, not the least is their famous 4 high by 4 wide car lift at the back of the shop. This is your old matchbox car setup come to life!
Lunch will be served with Thomas Fogarty pouring their wines at Canepa and the facility will be open for tours. There will be swag bags for the participants with gifts from our event sponsors and we'll be adding a fun raffle at the end.
So many great people last year, so many great cars and lots of money raised to help fight Parkinson's!
Proceeds will stay local, benefitting the University of California San Francisco Parkinson's Disease Clinic and Research Center, a Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence.
Thank you to these sponsors:
