We Hope You Will Make a Donation to Further Help Support Parkinson's Disease Research and
Gotta love Nashville!!! And it’s not just for the country music and the Grand Ole Opry – for us, it’s about our contributions for Parkinson’s disease, especially through the Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence at the Vanderbilt Movement Disorders Clinic – and now we’re further supporting patient care through the Rock Steady Boxing Music City facility and classes in Franklin, Tenn., owned and run by Colleen Bridges.
Drive Toward a Cure will be raffling off ONE (1) CORVETTE EXPERIENCE at NCM Motorsports Park (valued at $799), which includes a tour of the iconic National Corvette Museum. All ticket proceeds and donations will be allocated to the local Rock Steady Boxing program in Franklin, while our raffle winner will experience instruction and track sessions on NCM’s 3.2-mile racetrack in a C8 Corvette. Raffle tickets and donations can be purchased here or at the November 12th Southern Men’s Showcase at The Factory at Franklin, the single day event focusing on the best within the Men’s Lifestyle World.
Rock Steady Boxing is the first-of-its-kind exercise program for those suffering from PD. Classes focus on gross motor movement, rhythm, core strength, balance, flexibility, and hand-eye coordination, in turn, improving flexibility, range of motion, gait, posture- all serious issues for patients with Parkinson ’s disease.
And yes, Nashville music does indeed align with Parkinson’s too – view just one example with Grammy Award-winning musician and songwriter and Rock Steady Boxing student Rich Gootee, who has been able to continue with music since Rock Steady Boxing exercise has helped to slow progression of the Parkinson’s challenges he’s been facing. Learn more about Rich here.
Tickets are $10 each, or 6 for $50. All online orders will receive a tax receipt upon payment.
